Jaszlinszky joined the Jesuits (October 1733 in Trencin) and published his physics textbooks as a professor at the University of Trnava (Kingdom of Hungary in modern-day Slovakia), where he taught philosophy, metaphysics, history, ethics, physics and theology.〔Hurter, H.
